Lübeck

I still haven't seen much of the city yet, the weather is just too bad for sightseeing! But what I've seen is really nice! The only really bad thing is, there aren't any bars or clubs that play my kind of music!!! That sucks! Will have to go to Hamburg to party!
This weekend my aunt and uncle were here to visit. So the week before I have been really busy getting all the boxes out of the way and trying to make the place look nice.
I had found a really good sushi and thai place close to my flat when my dad was here a few weeks ago and on friday night we picked up some food there. I already love that restaurant! The sushi is almost as good as the one I had in Vanuatu!
On Saturday we went into the city to do some x-mas shopping and to see the famous christmas market. Tons of tourist pour into the city every day at the moment to see that christmas market, mostly people from scandivia. On the way there is a big parking lot that is full with busses from Denmark and Sweden. It was so busy there that we didn't stay long. In the evening we went to the Lübeck theatre to see Tosca, an italian opera. My first time to see a classical opera and I actually liked it.
Last weekend I went out for breakfast with a few people I met online who are also new in Lübeck. Was nice to go out again after so many weeks and weekends of unpacking boxes.
Wednesday night I have been out to have Glühwein, a german winter specialty, hot spiced red wine, at the christmas market with a couple of girls and one guy from work. They all started in internal medicine this summer and because there are no young people in Radiology they "adopted" me. One of them, Julia, lives only a 5 minute walk from here, so as soon as the weather is better we are going to ride our bikes to work together.
It's so nice to finally have some friends here!
Next weekend my parent are coming to visit and the weekend after that I'm going home for christmas. I'm already stressed just thinking about how many people I will have to and want to see. And also my brother and his girlfriend are getting married right after christmas! At least that means I don't have to work between x-mas and NYE. Ohhh, and I don't know what to wear! It's going to be sooo cold!
